Radiation detectors and search instruments

Personal Radiation Detectors (PRDs) are pager size pocket high sensitive devices for the search for the nuclear and radioactive materials. The high sensitivity and fast response time to the variations in the ambient radiation levels clearly distinguish PRDs from family of the electronic dosimeters.

The hand-held search instruments can be used for such applications as scanning scrap metal at recycling facilities, passengers and baggage scanning at airports, area monitoring and surface evaluation for radioactive contamination.

PM1703

The tiny personal radiation detectors designed to detect and locate the minimum amounts of the radioactive and nuclear materials. The instrument provides two operating modes: search for the gamma radiation sources and evaluation of the radiation level in mSv/h or mR/h.


Detector: CsI(Tl) (and GM in”MO” group)
Dose Rate measurement:

0.01 – 99.99 μSv/h (PM1703(M), (MA), (MB)
0.01 μSv/h – 10 Sv/h (PM1703MO)

Sensitivity: 85 -100 cps/µSv·h–¹
Energy range: 0.033 – 3.0 MeV

AT1125

Scintillation NaI(Tl) detector provides high sensitivity and low response time to minor changes in radiation background. Furthermore, it allows accurate dose rate measurement over a wide range of gamma-ray energy 0.05 MeV to 3 MeV with the help of the “spectrum-dose” corrective function.

PDS 100

Gamma and gamma/neutron radiation devices to detect, locate and quantify any radioactive materials as Special Nuclear Materials (SNM) or as Radiological Dispersal Devices (RDD). Suited for First Responders, Law Enforcement, Customs Inspectors and for Personnel and Site Security in critical infrastructures.

Detector: CsI(Tl) (and Lil for neutron channel)
Dose Rate measurement:

0.01 – 100 μSv/h

Sensitivity: 1400 cps/µSv·h–¹
Energy range: >/= 35 keV
Alarm type: visual, audio, vibration

PM1710

The PM1710A gamma and PM1710GNA gamma-neutron monitors have the highest sensitivity among the family of the Polimaster’s hand-held search instruments. They are ideally suited for fast search and detection of traces of radioactive and nuclear materials.

Detect gamma and both gamma and neutron radiation, respectively;
Locate detected radiation sources; Alert the user of the presence of radioactive or nuclear materials through both audible and vibrating alarms;
Record and store data for up to 1000 events in their non-volatile memory;
Transfer data from the instrument to the PC through an infrared channel.

HDS-100
 

The HDS-101G/GN are handheld devices designed to search for and identify radioactive materials and to respond to radiological threats such as illicit trafficking and RDDs.
Able to identify radionuclides and classify them as medical, industrial, naturally occuring radio-active materials (NORM) and special nuclear materials (SNM).
